Omarchy Quattro on T1 MacbookPro

TLDR; you can run Omarchy Quattro on an old MacbookPro with T1 touchbar and everything works (except fingerprint reader).

Here you can find my instructions, to get it working:

Omarchy Quattro running on old Macbook Pro 15” with T1

I have created this manual with support by Claude Code. I gave it the description of the problems, and it startet to find out how to fix them. It took around 1/2 day.

What works now:

  • touchbar
  • WLAN supports 5GHz now
  • audio in/out including volume control
  • webcam
  • control brightness of display and keyboard

Whats not working:

  • fingerprint sensor

I guess the best way to get it working is to install Omarchy Quattro regulary, setup Claude and let it read and execute the instructions.
